The third annual Yoga Summit Conference will take place on September 22-24 in Canton, Ohio at Silo Arts Studio & The Meadow.
Each year, as part of the Akron Peace Project’s annual Akron Peace Month, yoga teachers, meditation leaders, & healing practitioners gather together to offer an open-to-the-public weekend of empowerment, leadership development, non-violence, and exploration of the Path of Yoga. This conference aims to highlight the incredible yogi leaders in the area by sharing their offerings with the greater community. All are welcome to join!
Our theme this year is the Sacred Self. When we stop the body, breathe deeply, move our consciousness to our hearts to allow deep FEELING to occur, and are present in the moment, we align ourselves with our inner awesome-ness or the Sacred Self. This Sacred Self cannot be denied nor contained. We wish for the Yoga Summit Conference to be a catalyst for inspiring & uncovering the Sacred Self within our own self & within our communities.
Friday (Sept. 22) is donation based- just show up!
Saturday (Sept. 23) and Sunday (Sept. 24) are $10 per class / $30 per day / $50 for the weekend.
In addition, there are 4 continuing education courses (with Yoga Alliance continuing ed credit) which provide teachers (and others interested!) with food for thought on how to make your classes more accessible and just! Click here to see the descriptions!
Visit the Akron Accessible Yoga Day page and the Canton Accessible Yoga Day page to learn more about a full day of programming in each location that focuses on creating practices and spaces to show that ALL people- regardless of age, size, ability, gender, race, sexual orientation, etc.- can walk the Path of Yoga!
